Don't need you to love you
Well, this is a song that was stuck in my head..very simple, not idol standard singing, and it's rather muffled [that's why i'm providing lyrics too] but i guess it's quite a sweet song. Give it up to local talent!
Don't Need You To Love YouI wanna see your shy smile/ on the day we met
When you sat/ not so far from me
I wanna know your kind heart/ when you humoured me
I wanna hear those first words/ you spoke to silly me
And i know that i was just a silly boy
And i know that i couldn't have a chance
And i know that your face stuck on my mind
I wanna hold your hand/ on that rainy day
I wanna hear your laughter/ as i sing this song
I wanna see those eyes/ that spoke to me
And those lips/ and those cheeks
And i know that we were only friends
And i know that it was not meant to be
And i know that i was too late
And i know... And i know...
And i know that i would be happy if i knew
That i know that you are happy now
And i know that this love ain't selfish
And i know ... i don't need you to love you
And i know ... i don't need you to love you
Note: if it plays twice over each other, just refresh it..it's not a ploy to get more hits on my site, just that it's a stupid bug that rectifies itself when i refreshed the webbie..
And yess it does sound like clapping at the end of the song but it ain't..more like paper flipping or something much sadder than that..heh heh

Next - Movie

Dear all,
Today i watched the first movie in this year 2007..Hahah..apparently this isn't the best year for watching movies..haha..first of all, there's no one watching movies with me..Second, movies in America is not as convenient as running to orchard cinemas.
So here it is..Since my friend have watched all the movies that are currently out, we settled for this action flick Next.
This is not going to be a movie review. Haha..[cheh..~bleh] anyway, this is so important because it's my first movie this year, AND we snuck ice cream into the cinema to snack on! haha..the two of us brought in Ben and Jerries ice cream and ate our way through the movie..haha..so fun! it's been a while since i ate ice cream and watched a movie..
And i really ate my way through the whole tub!!! haha..~bleh..dun care about getting fat le..hah..i will work my way to slim down after that..hahhah..
Yepps. So there!
Thanks to JooOO for spending the afternoon with mua! haha..had fun after so many days of nuahing and being ignored by my xiao mei..[~bleh]
Cheers!

Paris!!! [long overdue]
Hey guys...haha..i haven't figured out how to piece several pictures together so i can only show 1 pic at a time..haha..lets see how this goes..

Eat your hearts out guys..this is the cute little lady who is my xiao mei, Hui Ling, whom i got to hang around for a week! ~bleh.. And this was taken in a nice little chocolate drink shop we chanced upon when it decided to drizzle outside..and it turned into a downpour once we left! on our first day in Paris...

And again, this is Hui Ling at the Cathedral Montmatre where we spied on people snoozing in the cathedral while we wowwed ourselves with the exquisite wall murals and paintings that they post inside. Pretty nice place, quiet, respectful aura. No wonder they say there's no place like a church/cathedral/temple when you wanna get in touch with your inner self.

And at montmatre, the two of us were cheated of our money! (gasp!) the cheats made off with a total of 35Euros just by tying the two of us a wishing band around our wrist, during which they sweet talked the 2 of us and told us it was for good luck and keeping us captive, after which they demanded payment individually..

Yet another catheral. This is the back end of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. No hunchback spotted there tho..this was where we took a little toilet break after trekking around the city.

And the tower of Paris..the Eiffel tower..Stunning at night, and you get to climb the tower and enjoy the magnifique sight there! ha..actually all scenes look the same from tall places..saw it at the rockefella center in New York. *boring* and it definitely is not the reccommended place to propose marriage either..so many people crowding around you hardly get space to kneel down or anything..but i guess it all depends on who you're with then..And with my Xiao Mei, even if it was really 4 stories tall only it was fantastic!

And this is the little bit of sunset we got to see from the Eiffel tower while Hui Ling freezes as we queue on the second level of the Eiffel tower to get to the elevator that brings us up to the fourth floor..yess..the queue is mad..and you have to queue at around 7:30PM to make sure you get up and enjoy the place before you have to leave at around 1130PM..which is just about as much as we could take cos it was rather chilly there..

Another shot we took from the Eiffel tower while waiting in line..Down below you see small white spots on the grass patches..they are human beings..lounging on the grass..looks like a massive gun shoot-out and body counts to me..Hui Ling suggested we go down and join them and make the same view for people who are going up the Eiffel to see.

And we saw Singapore from the Eiffel! not really..but close enough

And just before anyone wonders why we hate each other so much we din want to take photos together..here's one!

And this is the ugliest museum i ever saw..Definitely the worst..So bad that i refused to go in and instead spent the day sitting in front of the museum laughing my head off at how ugly it was..and how i tot it was a construction site.

And this was the face i made when i saw the museum...

And these were the words i was thinking when Hui Ling told me that the ex president actually specially hired a designer to design that monstrosity..ohwell..it was good for an evening of laughs..there was good ice cream across from the museum tho..haha..

And this is the fabled moulin rouge..the windmill is real, the lights are real..but the place is really qt small and not as huge as the movie entails, which is rather disappointing. Hui Ling spotted a very young social escort with a old man there too..guess it really is a 'red light' district of Paris..did not hang around very long there..

And while we were at the Palace de Versailles, we had a run of the palace, with a good english audioguide with us [unlike other museums] and we learnt qt a bit about the palace, and about European Royal families and their royal depiction stuff..like the theme of divine appointment for the royalty carried on from Rome even to France and i'm guessing even in England. And i saw themes of Greek Mythology and of the fates and other oddities even though the country was christian/catholic and the royal families were supposed to be devout christians.

And this is the Versailles garden, which is a fantastic place to nuah..see the faraway patch there? it's blue, and it's a lake! and they have row boats there! and it was rather cold and i was wearing a T-shirt..so i desperately wanted exercise to warm up so i suggested going boating..

And here we are on the peaceful boat ride where i bully my princess by making her row the boat..hha..actually i did most of the rowing, but i tot it would be nice to let Hui Ling try and understand how difficult it is to row the boat..haha..actually it wasn't difficult, just that she keep saying i slow, so i had to show her that she's slower..haha..[gosh..i'm evil] But hey, she had fun rowing too..and i had to be worried if anyone saw this..and thought "what is that guy doing, letting the lady row the boat?!"

And here is a pic of the Palace in the far view, with the lake in between. And yess, the blue waters looks nice, but it's actually a reflection of the blue sky, and not the blue water..and yes..the water is greenish and murky like singapore waters..except they cleared the rubbish..

And they do love landscaping so. This particular shrub looks like a piece of green thingey kebab that is skewered on a toothpick.

And yet another satisfying day where we nuahed our way through Paris. One thing to note: both of us HATE rushing places and doing check point tours. We love to nuah, and we nuah together very well as bro and sis. haha..yepps. Amazing how much more you enjoy the company you have when you have just one less spot to cover. And like i said, it's not the place you visit, but who you visit with. And this is one trip i definitely enjoy loads cos i'm with my xiao mei.. =P

And here is the two of us trying to catch the last ray of our childhood.
At 22, you can't really say that we have any childhood left..
in case you can't read, it goes "Lost Parents, Inquire here for Children" Here is where the parents get lost and children finds her place.
when you see Hui Ling grinning on the carousel,
or screaming on the spinning tea cup,or at myself seeking shelter in the kiddish ride [it's a small world], or when you hear Hui Ling screaming on the pirates of the carribean ride, and the haunted manor ride, and the high and scary rollercoaster [no, we din actually get on the ride cos she was so freaked], you kinda get the feeling that we never really do grow up. Which is good.
Note: to whom is concerned - Hui Ling has no stomach for scary or adrenaline-typed rides..she screamed through 'Peter Pan'..that should give you an idea..

And here is the time when we cooled down somewhat from the trip and made ourselves dinner. our own concoction of cabbage, tong fen, chicken(self deboned), carrot and egg. And she says she loves it. I guess we all have wierd taste buds..but i liked it too..hah..
So that concludes the Paris trip, we enjoyed ourselves very very much and had much much fun and wad nots..too bad no souvenirs cos i was backpacking and had no more space for stuff..heh heh..
