    Okay..so i'm not lonely..i've got people

Well, here is the team, in retrospect tho..this was taken when we realised that we were going back to our own lives and routines and it was the last time we would take a photo together as part of the trip. And we were told to pose for it, so i did. Totally unlike me, just in case you were wondering how did i change?! haha..
Just a snapshot we took in the people mover in detroit. It's like a LRT system that winds around the Detroit downtown [downtown only] Public transport just ain popular cos everyone owned a car [it is the city of the automobiles] You had to own a car to go anywhere. Or walk. Or stay in the downtown area. Which isn't awfully exciting.
And here i am caught doing something i would not normally do. Hah..caught down below girls! woohoo! but trust me, it ain't as fun as it looks..Loads of laughs afterwards, but not fun doing it..Oooh..my poor back..being the oldest dude in this bunch is not fun..[kidding of course!] It IS my first human pyramid i did too..so it's fun.
Just a bunch of people hanging out at this fantastic place called the Freeze. It's not your normal fast food. For one, the food is not fast. For another, the food is actually good! like they serve a huge burger for 3 bucks, and a heck of a mango smoothies..You'd think that's nothing, but you gotta think: it was snowing outside and we braved the cold and still drank the mango freeze..If it ain't good..
But a little about the freeze; it's actually a [christian i think] initiative where they actually put teenagers who live in the hood who ain't going to any college, to work [kinda like interns], where they learn the basics of maintaining an establishment, setting inventories and checking them, taking orders and making food, working as cashier, handling customers. It's where they can work and learn instead of pushing drugs or seeking love in the gang..it's a great place to check out, and they have good food for great prices too. Now, where else can you find that?
Now, this is totally different. This is the AUTHENTIC coney island shop that started all the coney dogs around Detroit..it's even considered the food of the state (?) Coney dog is what they call a chilli dog, but remember that their chilli is the sauce type with loads of onions and wadnots and looks more like curry than the chilli we have for chicken rice. Or what we try to pass off as chilli dog in singapore when it's just maggi chilli sauce [nothing like the real deal]

The story is this: there was originally one coney dog store in town, ran by a family. Then there was a big quarrel, and they split. And brought their business with them. Right next door. If that ain't like the chicken rice war we have [or the tau hway war] we have right back in singapore, i've got nothing more to say. Seems like people are the same everywhere.
That's the bunch of people i hang out with during that week of my life, and i love everyone of them.
