Love is all around
Well, here's to another friend of mine who have gotten attached. Congratulations and good blessings to her! ha..hope to see yet another good testimony of love in my life [even if it has nothing to do with me]All the same, it makes the lonely tree all the more aware of his singularity. Yet it may be something i will not compromise for the sake of companionship at this point of time. Or yet it may reflect on the fact that i am unsure of what companionship will look like, or will ever look like. Anyway, for all you love-hungry people out there, whether you are attached or not, here is a little story that might just give you a little encouragement, or contentment that you have indeed found that someone.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It was said before that long long ago, people were nothing like people right now. They had 2 heads, 2 minds, 4 arms and 4 legs. They did everything efficiently, what one did not know the other would, and even though they argued [almost all the time], they never failed to resolve the argument [sometimes with no other good reason except that they'd have to sleep together without arguing]. They knew everything about their other half; after all, they spent forever talking to each other, living with each other, doing everything together. Nothing was secret between each other, and there was no lying to each other because they knew instantly what each other meant intuitively. Most of all, each other depended on each other for survival. When one was threatened, you can be sure that all 4 arms would fight back together[or all 4 legs will run away together! haha] and when 1 went hungry, both would go hungry. They shared everything they had, for better or worse, through thick and thin. Then one day the gods were jealous of this companionship and sent down a lightning bolt that struck everyone. It was terrible; the rain, lightning storm, and all the pain everyone felt.After the terrible storm, they realised that the pain was reflective of a disasterous tragedy; the lightning bolt that struck everyone also splitted everyone into 2. Now everyone only had 1 head, one mind, one pair of arms and legs. And the terrible storm had occupied their minds and distracted their senses that they did not realise that their other half had ventured away from themselves. They have lost sight of each other, and struggles in their own capabilities to survive and go through life alone. However, deep within, they each soughted to one day find their other half again and reunite with them and be whole again. Do you have 2 heads, 4 arms and 4 legs? Or are you still seeking your other half?----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: this obviously is not a christian story. If anything, it is inspired from an episode from 'Xena: the warrior Princess'..And yes, it means that i am watching that show now. [haha]
